The sheets were too short to cover the entire circumference of bass drums and 18” floor toms. Many vintage drum wraps, even some made today, were done in sheets, not rolls. We designed Classic Fit with a more narrow aluminum flesh-hoop allowing proper seating with the drums counter-hoop, and room to rest on drum shells that either run slightly over sized-due to natural expansion over time or overlapping of the shell wrap finish, or even out-of-round drum shells. Understanding the wrap price groups – Each wrap color is assigned to a price group (A, B, C, or D). Wraps are only cut differently if custom requests so at time of purchase. The extra 2″ of length allows for an overlap. Therefore, the extra 1/2″ of depth is trimmed off after the wrap is glued to the shell. This gives a little room for error during installation. Pre-cut drum wraps are cut with 1/2″ extra depth, and 2″ extra length. ![]() In addition, all drum sizes are listed as depth x diameter. The price chart below shows common drum sizes.
